Chile to Argentina: Deep into the untouched Andes

7 days exploring the hidden pristine valleys of the Chilean Andes. From pioneer’s house to pioneer’s house along narrow trails surrounded by untouched primary native forests, interspersed with exciting river crossings. Skirting turquoise lakes - glaciers above, white sand beaches underfoot - we ride into the lifestyle of the wel-coming settlers to understand more about their extraordinary existence.

Each night we stay with a welcoming local couple, sitting round the woodburning stove, a glass of Chilean red wine in hand, discussing life in this undisturbed paradise; two nights will be spent on a private island, accessible by boat.

DAY 1 | STUNNING SCENERY - FJORDS, ESTUARIES, VOLCANOES

Leaving Puerto Varas, a morning transfer towards the Andes. As the journey begins, views of the Llanquihue Lake and the Calbuco and Osorno Volcanoes come into focus. We arrive at the edge of the Reloncaví Fjord, the area well-known for its salmon fishing industry. On the way to our first ferry crossing, we journey up the Río Puelo Valley.
