Around Cotopaxi Horse Riding Safari, 7 days in the High Andes.
AROUND COTOPAXI (AC). A complete circuit of the highest active volcano in the world.
AC1. 1 hour drive from Quito . Meet the horses
here.
Riders then head to AC3 for overnight in an adobe &
thatch converted hacienda and then continue on to AC4 (night
2).
Day 3: ride to AC5A and camp, (alternatively
night at converted farmhouse, AC5 for more comfort).
The next day is a very long ride (25miles/40km) to the wilds of AC6.
Day 5 ride to AC7, amazing views of nearby
snowcapped Cotopaxi Volcano.
The ride to AC8 is another long ride, mainly through the
luna like landscape of the NATIONAL PARK
then on day 7 a high pass takes riders close to an old lava
flow, before ending the ride.
AC9 is a gorgeous converted old Jesuit hacienda that guests
might like to relax at prior to or after the ride.
