Chile has converted a staggering 11 million acres of land into protected national parks. The Ride Andes Chile and Argentina excursions open up new frontiers that take you high into the Andes Mountains, through lush valleys to the edge of glaciers, over the region’s rivers, and into ancient forests. We stay at cozy private island retreats, spend time on charming farms overlooking the panoramic countryside, and put you side by side with friendly baqueanos who know the land like the back of their hand.
The season is between late October and the end of March. Depending on when you journey here, there are changes to the posted itineraries due to the unfortunate consequences of global warming and water levels. During February and March, the border crossings between Chile and Argentina aren’t possible as the low water make bridging the rivers dangerous. The area in this region has no road access, both adding to the journeys and making them only available at certain times. The trips listed below are adventures that have set departure dates and are available for private tours that are customized towards your interests.
As always, we provide extensive travel notes including suggested packing lists and we give riders all the help they would like in getting to the ride start point and onward travel from the ride end point. We are also happy to help with ‘add-ons’ such as Buenos Aires visits – or staying at Estancias nearby for more riding, polo lessons and much more.
